Region Östergötland's HR organization has about 100 employees who provide qualified support both operationally and centrally to management. Many of our HR employees work closely with managers in the region's operations. Within the organization, there is also a team of HR strategists, a unit with specialists in competence supply, a negotiation unit, and a payroll administration unit. A central unit for support and service provides daily support to employees and managers. Additionally, the HR organization has an area of education.

Job Description
The unit manager for HR managers ensures that the region's operations receive qualitative and equitable HR support. The assignment includes further developing working methods and HR processes to ensure situation-adapted support to our operations.
The development of operational HR work includes ensuring that the operations steer and lead based on the region's personnel and employer policies and that laws and agreements are followed.
The HR organization must ensure that HR work is based on the needs and challenges of the managers and that the needs of the operations are continuously captured so that they can be translated into the development of the region's HR work.
As the unit manager for HR managers, you are responsible for the following parts:
- You are the manager of 11 HR managers and are responsible for assignments, finances, and work environment.
- The assignment also includes coordinating and driving development issues. Leading overarching working groups/projects across our entire HR area.
- You work through your organization and in your actions, you are a role model for others.
- You collaborate with managers within the operations to actively seek improvements in HR work.
- As the unit manager for the HR Managers Unit, you are part of the management group for the HR of the operations manager, together with the unit managers for the HR Consultants Unit, HR Specialists Unit, Negotiation Unit, and Payroll and Pension Unit, with the goal that the development of HR work contributes to strategic shifts and the organization's goals.
About You
We are looking for someone with education in HR or another academic qualification that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have many years of experience in qualified HR work as well as broad competence and experience from the entire HR area, along with experience in strategic development and change work in a complex organization.
We see that you have several years of experience as a manager and leader. You have an excellent ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have experience from a politically governed organization. Furthermore, we would like to see that you have a specialization in labor law.
To succeed in this role, it is important that you have personal maturity and that you are humble. We see that you have an unpretentious attitude and the ability to collaborate with various parties. You are a confident leader who can create engagement and participation. Your ability to listen and understand needs, combined with proactive action, is crucial. You are clear in your communication and driven to empower colleagues, allowing employees to grow, and together create the best results.
Application and Employment
The assignment is a fixed-term appointment for four years with a permanent position within your core profession. Placement location is Linköping.
